The Fifth Ward storytellers are as diverse as their story arcs. From entrepreneurs, community activists, and multi-generational residents to corporate brands, gatekeepers, and "outsiders," what they share is a commitment to captivating the audience at the historic DeLUXE Theater.


Introducing the #FifthWard storytellers:

  1. Ms. Cleo Glenn-Johnson-McLaughlin - founder, Black United Fund

  2. Ms. Bridgette Dorian - president, Fifth Ward Chamber

  3. David Landry - owner, Class Bookstore

  4. Emile Browne - resident

  5. Pastor Robert Thomas - stewarding a historical building, preserving legacy, building the future

  6. Erwin McGowan - corporate brand in a historic community (State Farm agent)

  7. Damon Williams - 3rd/4th generation Fifth Ward

  8. Keith Hawkins - founder & CEO, The Color of Coffee Collective.


Alexus Grace (Rhone) and Kennedy Payne will co-emcee this event.


Doors open at 6:30 PM. Event starts at 7 PM.
